REBECCA HUNTER
violinist & Suzuki educator
Canadian violinist Rebecca Hunter is an active educator and performer. She has taught and performed at various festivals, workshops, and Suzuki Institutes across the U.S., Canada, and abroad. Hunter is a past member of the music faculty at the University of South Carolina and a founder of their Suzuki program. Presently, she runs a violin studio (A2HunterStudios) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is a certified Andover Educator through The Association for Body Mapping Education.

Violinist, educator and composer, Christian Howes was voted #1 in the Downbeat Critics Poll (“Rising Stars/Violin”), named among the top three jazz violinists in the JazzTimes critics poll, and nominated for Violinist of the Year by the Jazz Journalist Association. Howes is the founder of “CREATIVE STRINGS,“ a non-profit organization with the mission to expand music education through online curriculum, an annual summer conference, and dozens of visits to schools annually teaching improvisation, contemporary styles, and related subjects. He endorses Yamaha violins and D’Addario strings.

David Cutler, a self-proclaimed WEEKEND TRAVELER, is a pianist and composer equally comfortable with classical, jazz, popular, folk, and world music. One of the world’s leading voices on ARTS ENTREPRENEURSHIP, Cutler’s books, keynotes, workshops have shaped a generation of artists. Dr. Cutler is a Distinguished Professor of Music Entrepreneurship at University of South Carolina, and a Yamaha “Artist-in-Innovation.”

Craig Butterfield is the Professor of Double Bass and Jazz Studies at the University of South Carolina. Equally comfortable in jazz, classical, and folk styles of music he has appeared on albums with jazz trumpet legend Maynard Ferguson, classical CDs as a soloist, and with the Americana-flavored groups Boomtown Trio and the Jones/Butterfield duo.
David King (born June 8, 1970) is an American drummer and composer from Minneapolis. He is known for being a founding member of the jazz groups The Bad Plus (with Reid Anderson and Ethan Iverson) and Happy Apple (with Michael Lewis and Erik Fratzke) although he is active in many other projects including free jazz collective Buffalo Collision with NYC "downtown" musicians Tim Berne and Hank Roberts and the electronic art/pop group Halloween, Alaska as well as the noise/prog band The Gang Font with former Hüsker Dü bassist Greg Norton.
