I want to agree with Pertl, but I'd be hard pressed to find any academic discipline that doesn't involve training the same skill set. Does business education translate to better musical skills? Music is important for its own sake, because it's a universal part of the human condition. I'm not sure that trumpeting (pun intended) music education as valuable for business is really being honest to ourselves and our music students.
