It’s Virtually Music!
The Internet changed just about everything for musicians: how we market, connect with fans, distribute recordings, disseminate press releases, experience videos, network. In fact, just about the only thing that hasn’t changed is the simple fact that musicians must physically be in the same location to create a unified musical sound. Right?
Composer and conductor Eric Whitacre has proven otherwise. For his composition Lux Aurumque, a virtual choir of 185 singers recorded their parts individually in 12 different countries(!). Then Scott Haines pieced them together to produce the incredible video below.

While there are hundreds of thousands of great performances captured on tape, the music videos featured on TSM blog feature musical creations that are unusual, innovative, humorous, or otherwise purple.
